This diet includes plenty
of water for sure, chips of ice, pulp of fruit finely crushed, soup, gelatin,
stock, tea or coffee only if it is necessary.
When your condition
starts improving then you can go with soft diet with little fiber. Food that
includes in low fiber soft diet is dairy products, eggs, porridge etc.
When your doctor allows
you to take anything of your wish then you can go with high fiber diet. Foods
that are rich in fiber are beans, poultry, green veggies, fruits, whole grain,
brown bread and so.
A healthy person should
take 25-35 grams of fiber on daily basic and drink 1 liter water on every 20 KG
e.g. if a person id of 60 KG then he or she should take 3 liters of water every
day. Fiber act as a cleaner of intestine, food rich in high fiber retain more
water in intestine as well as easily move through giving less pressure to
digestive system. After getting fit patient should stick to Diverticulitis Diet for long time
and also stay connected with their doctor.
